Please find below my new sleeping system’s gear list! In order to use an UL down sleeping bag (350grs) at Patagonia & Cordillera de los Andes, I use top quality merino wool and layers.
  1. Wool socks
  2. Woolx merino wool base layer bottom
  3. Woolx merino wool base layer 1/4 zip
  4. Llama wool hat
  5. 10 stakes
  6. Seek Outside LBO & vestibule
  7. Sea to Summit Spark SP I
  8. Klymit Static V2
  9. Bivy sack
  10. Quechua Silk liner
  11. Carbon fiber trekking pole
  12. Tyvek ground sheet.
I know all the layers’ combined weight could be similar to a warmer sleeping bag, but this system is way more versatile and the “extra items” have at least 2 different uses… and I also can fit my bicycle inside the new bigger & floorless tent 🙂
If money wasn’t an issue I’ll probably upgrade my system with the following items:

Photographer cycling "in developing" countries making + printing + giving away portraits for those families who had none...
